Storytellers Initiative
At Meadowbrook Church we believe that when you understand the uniqueness of your story and when you grasp how God’s redemptive story changes and reframes your life, you have the potential to influence others. We long to be a community of
Kingdom Storytellers – people who are versed in God’s story and see how it is shaping their own story and have awareness of people in their lives who might benefit from hearing it. We’re inviting you to join us in becoming a Kingdom Storyteller.
Becoming a Kingdom Storyteller
Hear
Cultivate the ability to hear from the Lord through His story (the Bible) and the activity of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Know
Intentionality is required to truly know anyone; this includes God and yourself, His story, and your own.
Be
A rich spiritual life starts by “being with God” before we ever “do anything for God,” including telling others His story and ours.
Love
Jesus said the greatest command is to love God and others. People who believe we love them are more inclined to listen.
Tell
Share your story of God’s redeeming work in your life with those God leads you to.

What is a Kingdom Story?
God is always present and at work in your life. A Kingdom Story starts with awareness of that reality. Where is he nudging you? Where is he stirring something inside of you? What is he saying to you? The story comes when we respond to God’s invitation to participate in his work in our lives. These stories happen in both the magnificent and mundane places of our lives.
Goal: 40 Kingdom Moments
We are challenging everyone at Meadowbrook to track 40 kingdom moments in your life over the next four years. Our hope is to saturate our community with the Gospel and the love of God through every person at Meadowbrook. If we do this, when Meadowbrook turns 40 (2028), we will have countless stories to tell of how God impacted our city through our church.
